When most people think of foil, they think shiny and metallic. While shiny is an option for the napkin foil, there is also the option for matte foil and brushed foil. Matte foils have a flat finish and no reflective quality. Brushed foils offer a softer, more subtle sheen. Shiny foils reflect the most light and have a high-gloss finish.
